College Scholarship Programs

Each year, the WLDEF board awards scholarships for post-secondary educational opportunities for persons pursuing a career that centers on or supports the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades or small business management.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019-2020 school year.

Eligibility Requirements For Student Scholarships:

  • Applicant must live in Wisconsin or Upper Michigan
  • Applicant must be pursuing a career that centers on, or supports, the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades or in small business management.
  • Applicant must have applying to or been accepted to an accredited two-year or four year school of higher education or an accredited vocational school as a full-time student.
  • Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent by August 31, 2019.

Awards are contingent upon verification of enrollment in such a school as a full-time student.  Previous scholarship applicants may reapply. ​  

Since 2009, WLDEF has awarded over $77,000 in college scholarships.
